The Teach Me to Play program was created to teach parents how to play with purpose. The program consists of Play Kit Rentals, Play Cards, and Playroom Design and Consultation.
Play Kit & Play Cards Rental Subscription
The Play Kit membership ensures your child is exposed to a wide variety of developmentally appropriate toys based on their current skill level and goals. These toys have been strategically selected by our team of professionals. The Play Cards compliment each toy in the kit and serve as a resource to help you, as the parent or caregiver, understand how to embed learning in play and feel successful connecting with your child! This includes therapist-created best practices on how to use the toys.
Join now to receive a therapist curated, developmentally appropriate set of toys for your child to assist in their continued growth. Each kit is different and designed to help your child meet their developmental milestones, while reducing the overall out-of-pocket cost ($150+ per kit on average) for toys your child will outgrow quickly – and simplifying the maintenance and management for you. Play Kits can be bundled with our Open Play membership at a reduced cost.

Level 1 Play Kit
Developmental Age: 12-18 months
Rent a Play Kit filled with toys handpicked by pediatric early interventionists trained in the Early Start Denver Model. Our therapists have selected each toy keeping in mind the goal of play for our earliest learners. These toys help promote speech and language, functional play, fine motor coordination, cognition, social skills, joint attention, and most importantly FUN!
Each kit is individualized to help your child meet their developmental milestones, while reducing the overall out-of-pocket cost – $200 on avg. for toys you'd receive and potentially outgrow in 3 months.
Every Kit includes Play Cards for each toy in the kit with step by step guidance on how to help you connect and experience joy in play with your child while building foundational skills!
Level 2 Play Kit
Developmental Age: 18-24 months
Rent a Play Kit filled with toys that are perfect for your child who is ready for independent play, open ended constructive play, and pre-pretend play. These are toys that can grow with your child as they continue to gain new skills. Each toy was selected to target skills across a range of developmental domains including motor skills, communication, joint attention, social skills, and cognition.
Each kit is individualized to help your child meet their developmental milestones, while reducing the overall out-of-pocket cost – $200 on avg. for toys you'd receive and potentially outgrow in 3 months.
Every Kit includes Play Cards for each toy in the kit with step by step guidance on how to help you connect and experience joy in play with your child while expanding thier skills!
Level 3/4 Toys
Developmental Age: 24-36 months & 36-48 months
Check out Blue Stars Therapy's top picks for learners who are ready to experiment with independent play, constructive play, and pre-pretend play. All of our toys are therapist approved, meaning we use them daily in our practice. These toys help create opportunities to teach language, cognitive, and joint attention skills!
Each kit is individualized to continue to challenge your child and help your child meet their developmental milestones, while reducing the overall out-of-pocket cost – $250 on avg. for toys you'd receive and potentially outgrow in 6 months.
Every Kit includes Play Cards for each toy in the kit with step by step guidance on how to help foster flexible independent play and expand your child's imagination while creating opportunities for communication and turn taking!
